Tambourine Mountain Tours
Tour Two runs for four to five hours. It leaves your residence if you live locally, your motel or the Ipswich Tourist Information Centre.
Then goes through Peak Crossing which is a rural town located 20km south of Ipswich in the far south west corner of the Scenic Rim region. Stopping at Wyaralong Dam, Canungra and then travelling up the mountain and stopping at St Bernnards Hotel for something to eat or refreshmensts.
St Bernards Hotel is a historic building with that old world charm overlooking the Guanaba Gorge. It has a warm atmosphere inside – with a fireplace roaring in Winter, and in Summer, their back patio gets a lovely breeze from where you can really admire the view. They also have beautiful gardens to stroll around to stretch your legs after the trip up the mountain and of course the famous St Bernards dog.
If time is not a worry you could always combine this into a winery tour stopping at Heritage Estate Wines is just down the road from them.
After having lunch at St. Bernard’s Hotel we will leave North Tamborine going past attractions such as Thunderbird Park and the Rainforest Skywalk. We travel along roads like Camp Cable Road and Mount Lindsey Highway to Browns Plains and Johnston Road to arrive back to Ipswich.
